This Blue Indigo Hakamas are made of Bushu-Sho-Aizome cloth that is certified as a traditional handcraft of Saitama Prefecture.
It is the heaviest Hakama in the Iwata product line.

After time Indigo naturally fades.
Due to this natural “aging”, no two Hakama will look alike but after time will take on a unique look and feel.
This is a special quality of all naturally dyed textiles in Japan not just Iwata Shokai’s Hakama.

＊Indigo bleeds. We highly recommend washing separately from other clothing.
＊Indigo dyed Hakama will shrink after hand washing. Please take this into consideration when choosing a size.
＊Indigo cotton Hakama require the highest level of care and maintenance.
