This Blue Indigo Hakamas are made of Bushu-Sho-Aizome cloth that is certified as a traditional handcraft of Saitama Prefecture.
We use the highest quality fabric from Kojima Dyeing and Bushu Aizome, which has a tradition of over 140 years. It is the thickest and heaviest hakama among Iwata Shokai's hakama.
It has a sense of weight, is soft to the touch, and has excellent breathability.
*“Sho-Aizome” refers to indigo dyeing using only natural materials.

The fabric is dyed and woven from the thread stage, and through repeated washing and use, it turns a beautiful indigo color and develops a soft texture unique to cotton.
Although it requires more time and effort than other hakama, it has a unique indigo-dyed texture and an element of “nurturing” that other hakama do not have.
